微软的虚拟光驱小工具Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel

虚拟光驱工具不少，常见的诸如Daemon Tools、UltraISO等等，但都体积不小，需要安装。微软今天发布了一个名为“Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel”(虚拟光驱控制面板)的实用工具，体积仅仅60KB，还是绿色免安装的！

事实上，Windows 8系统已经集成了这个工具并原生支持ISO镜像，现在是单独发出来给Windows XP、Windows Vista、Windows 7用户的，同时也支持Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2。

除了标准的ISO，它还支持udf、cdfs、jo、rock等各种镜像格式。

虽然是英文的，但使用方法非常简单：

1、下载并解压缩

2、运行主文件VCdControlTool.exe

3、点击主界面的“Driver control...”

4、再点击“Install Driver”，浏览到同一目录下的VCdRom.sys系统文件并确定，完成驱动安装。

5、此时“Start”(开始)、“Stop”(停止)、“Remove Driver”(删除驱动)三个按钮会从灰色变成可点击，点开始。

6、返回主界面点击“Add Drive”(增加盘符)，随便添，“Remove Drive”自然就是移除盘符了。

7、再点“Mount”(加载)，找到需要的镜像文件载入即可，还可以随时“Remount”(重新加载)、“Eject”(弹出)。

Installation instructions
=========================
1. Copy VCdRom.sys to your %systemroot%\system32\drivers folder.
2. Execute VCdControlTool.exe
3. Click "Driver control"
4. If the "Install Driver" button is available, click it. Navigate to the %systemroot%\system32\drivers folder, select VCdRom.sys, and click Open.
5. Click "Start"
6. Click OK
7. Click "Add Drive" to add a drive to the drive list. Ensure that the drive added is not a local drive. If it is, continue to click "Add Drive" until an unused drive letter is available.
8. Select an unused drive letter from the drive list and click "Mount".
9. Navigate to the image file, select it, and click "OK". UNC naming conventions should not be used, however mapped network drives should be OK.

You may now use the drive letter as if it were a local CD-ROM device. When you are finished you may unmount, stop, and remove the driver from memory using the driver control.
